Licencia: Dietitian

<p>Dietitians organize, plan, and conduct food service or nutritional programs to assist in promotion of health and control of disease. They may administer the activities of a department providing quantity food service, or they may plan, organize, and conduct programs in nutritional research.</p> <p><strong>Legislation:</strong> NH RSA 326-H; Administrative Rules Chapter Diet 100-500</p> <p><strong>Licensure Requirements:</strong></p> <ul><li>Must be of good character</li> <li>Hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from a college or university approved by the board with a major course of study in human nutrition, nutrition education, food and nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or food systems management</li> <li>Successfully complete a dietetic internship of no less than 900 hours, pre-professional practice program, or coordinated program with documented experience in the practice of dietetics under supervision of a registered, certified, or licensed dietitian</li> <li>Successfully pass the examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration</li> <li>Maintain continuing professional education requirements</li></ul> <p><strong>Examination:</strong> Written examination required</p> <p><strong>Continuing Education:</strong> 20 hours of continuing professional education related to the relevant practice in the 24 months prior to renewal</p> <p><strong>Fees:</strong></p> <ul><li>New license: $110</li> <li>Biennial renewal: $110</li></ul> <p><strong>Reciprocity:</strong> Permitted, provided the requirements or standards for certification or licensure in that state are equivalent to, or greater than, those of New Hampshire</p> <p>revised Jan 2018</p>
