Licencia: Electrician, Journeyman

<p>Electricians install, repair, alter and maintain electrical conductors, fittings, devices and fixtures for heating, lighting or power purposes. They must comply with the current edition of the National Electric Code. Journeyman Electricians are employed by and perform above duties under the direction of a Master Electrician, and each may directly supervise one Apprentice Electrician.</p> <p><strong>Legislation:</strong> NH RSA 319-C; Administrative Rules Chapter Elec 100-400</p> <p><strong>Licensure Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Four years (8,000 hours) of practical experience as an apprentice to a licensed electrician</li> <li>Four years of schooling (150 hours per year) in electricity</li> </ul> <p><strong>Examination:</strong> Written examination required, through Prov. Exam fee is paid to Prov.</p> <p><strong>Continuing Education:</strong> A 15-hour course on each new edition of the National Electric Code (proof required the first year the code is out)</p> <p><strong>Fees:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Initial application fee: $50</li> <li>Three-year license: $150</li> </ul> <p><strong>Reciprocity:</strong> Permitted with Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, North Dakota (pending), South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, and Wisconsin</p> <p>revised Jan 2018</p>
