INSURANCE PRODUCE<br><br>An individual is required to be licensed under the laws of this state to sell, solicit or negotiate a policy of insurance on an insurer's behalf. Insurance producer licenses are issued for the following lines of authority: Life, Accident & Health, Property, Casualty, Title and Personal Lines.<br><br>LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: <br>- Applicant must be 18 years of age <br>- Has not committed any act that is a ground for denial, suspension or revocation<br>- Complete 20 hours of pre-licensing education for each line of authority <br>NOTE: Pre-licensing and continuing education providers and courses must be approved by the Department of Commerce and Insurance for the licensing of insurance producers<br>- Pass state examination for the applicable line of authority<br>- Submit a finger-print based criminal background check <br>- Complete and file the NAIC uniform application and fee of $50.00 <br><br>RENEWAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: <br>- Completion of 24 hours of continuing education (including 3 hours ethics) is required biennially with the renewal of the license <br>- Licenses may be renewed for 2 years by submitting a completed NAIC uniform renewal application, fee and required continuing education
