PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS SOC Code 29-1071 Entry Salary $44.94/hr Average Salary $53.77/hr Job Description Physician Assistants, under the supervision of a licensed Physician, assist in the practice of medicine. Requirements 1.Graduate from a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). 2.Satisfactorily complete a proficiency examination approved by the Board. 3.Satisfactorily complete a certification examination administered by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). 4.Complete an application including the supervising Physician application. 5.Provide a written description of relationship with supervising Physician. 6.Appear for a personal interview before the Advisory Council of Physician Assistants. Restrictions Conviction of a felony. Drug and/or alcohol abuse. Dishonesty, fraud or gross negligence. Fraud or deceit. Manifest incapacity to practice. School Located in Wyoming There are no Physician Assistant training programs in Wyoming. License Physician Assistants must be licensed by the Board of Medicine to work in Wyoming. Examination Interviews before the Board occur in January, April, July, and October.
